Based in Chile, Jimmy Langman has been writing about South America since 1998 for publications including Newsweek, Miami Herald, San Francisco Chronicle, and The Independent. He is also a correspondent for the Latin American environmental journal EcoAmericas. He has written extensively about the political and social crisis in Bolivia, environmental issues throughout the region, the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship, indigenous struggles, and other topics.
