Dylan Freedman

Dylan Freedman is a graduate student of journalism at Stanford University. Dylan is passionate about the intersection of computation with the arts and humanities. He graduated with a dual-degree in Computer Science and Music from Harvard University in 2015. During the past two years, he has worked as a software engineer and researcher at Google, investigating machine and human classification of sounds. His interest in journalism stems from a deep appreciation for writing and desire to engage with society. He plans to study how algorithms can transform journalism to make news less biased, lower the costs of producing investigative stories, and support new systems for consuming information. ​
