Corey Dargel Writes You A Love Song

Corey Dargel was a balladeer-for-hire. His album Other People’s Love Songs is a collection of sweet and sometimes sardonic odes comissioned by beloveds.

Anne Kreamer and Kurt AndersenA couple years ago, Kurt was looking for the perfect gift for his wife Anne and he called Corey up. After a brief interview (Corey interviewing Kurt, that is), he came back with this lovely ballad that captures the couple’s first meeting in a rhythmic, airy tune.

Corey Dargel has since taken a break from the love songwriting business. But he’s still singing about love. He’ll perform tonight at 8pm at SUNY Fredonia, New York — and Friday, February 25 at 7:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn.
