The Battle Continues on Youtube

Studio 360

About a month ago, we opened the doors of Studio 360’s Battle of the High School Bands.

Whether you came of age during the British Invasion or are still in school, we wanted to hear your band’s best original song. Younger rock-stars-in-training uploaded ready-to-go .mp3s, while veterans dug through dusty reel-to-reels and cassette tapes.

Listen to all 300+ submissions

What could be better than homemade audio? We scoured the web and found videos from a handful of our contestants that take the music to a whole new level.

Since 1902, “All Used Up”

If you like the indie-rocker Beirut, you’ll surely enjoy this Missouri band’s video, chock-full of singing antiques and other oddities. This video looks like an homage to the “Living Doll” episode from The Twilight Zone.

Bonsai Trees, “Who Knows, Who Knows”

What starts off as just three kids in a basement turns into a wacky and comically free-spirited experiment in music video production. Hats off to Connecticut’s Bonsai Trees for capturing the fraternal high school spirit.

The Colin Brooks Huntley Band, “Linger”

Texan Colin Brooks Huntley could be a disciple of John Mayer. This lyrical video features slow-mo shots of an object of desire, a time-lapse sunset, and Huntley’s acoustic strumming front and center. Sing along!

BeardyWi, “Jawn So Dank”

Urban Dictionary defines jawn as “a word used by Philly cats to describe anything and everything” and dank as “an expression frequently used by stoners and hippies for something of high quality.” The Delaware artist described the video as “The single greatest thing ever made.” We’ll let you decide.
