Three more Tibetans set themselves on fire this weekend to protest China's rule of Tibet, and the body of one was reportedly paraded through the streets by police, according to separate reports.
Radio Free Asia, an activist news organization focused on human rights, says the body of a 42-year-old Tibetan monk who set himself on fire was carried by police through the streets of town in Qinghai province before his body disintegrated and he was taken away. In addition to that particular monk, two other Tibetan men reportedly self-immolated on Friday in Sichuan province.
The Tibetan region has seen a wave of self-immolations as protest in recent months, with reports of tighter Chinese controls on the area and no end in sight to the feud between China and the Dalai Lama.
