KAMPALA, Uganda — The world’s attention has focused on Uganda because of the "Anti-Homosexuality Bill" currently before its parliament. The bill calls for life imprisonment and even the death penalty for having gay sex.

President Yoweri Museveni has distanced himself from the bill.
