Pirate havens abound in China

China’s number website, the search engine Baidu, has joined some of the country’s top tourist shopping destinations on America’s list of notorious markets for pirated goods.

On Monday, the office of the U.S. Trade Representative unveiled the results of its global investigation of markets for pirated products and tagged China’s most visited website, along with the notorious silk market in Beijing and other spots — both online and storefronts — as primary platforms for selling pirated goods. Sweden's Pirate Bay torrent download site was also tagged. Biadu was tagged for "deep linking," or sending users to locations that "contain the allegedly infringing materials,” the report said.
