The Globo news survey of criminal courts across Brazil found 92 different cases where members of congress were accused of crimes ranging from corruption and electoral fraud to a few cases of murder and assault. The number of prosecutions is higher than the number of congressmen, Globo found, because several of the lawmakers are defendants in more than one case.
