Brazilian reporter jailed in Libya set free

The Brazilian reporter with the newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo who was detained in Libya has been set free, Reuters reported. Forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi turned the journalist, Andrei Netto, loose after jailing him for eight days about 40 miles outside of Tripoli, the capital. Netto is now at the home of Brazil’s ambassador to Libya, Reuters reported. The Guardian reporter who went missing the same time as Netto, Ghaith Abdul-Ahad, still remains missing.
