Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff declined to speak at the World Economic Forum being held in Rio de Janeiro last week but the reason had nothing to do with economics. The president cancelled her appearance after coming down with a case pneumonia, her office reported. She was hospitalized briefly, treated with antibiotics and released. Her office said she is scheduled to return to Brasilia, the capital, today.
