A record number of visitors toured Buckingham Palace to view Kate Middleton’s wedding dress while it was on display this summer.
Palace representatives estimated more than 600,000 people visited the exhibit, up from 413,000 tourists last year, according to New York Magazine. The highest number of visitors prior to Kate’s dress was 420,000 in 1994. The dress was on display at Buckingham Palace this summer until the exhibit closed Monday.
