Even as investigators claimed to have traced an email which claimed credit for Wednesday's blast for the Indian Mujahideen to the state of West Bengal, media organizations reportedly received a third message warning of an impending attack in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
While the Indian Mujahideen mail threatened an attack in a market or shopping mall on Tuesday (along with rubbishing a possible hoax email that claimed credit for the Harkat-ul-Jihadi-al-Islami (another terrorist group), the latest message was apparently less specific, and sent in a numeric code, according to the (also difficult to decipher) report in the Times of India.
Meanwhile, hinting at similar chaos among the alphabet soup of security agencies involved in the investigation (with the National Investigation Agency riding herd), CNN/IBN reports that the Home Ministry and NIA have received contradictory forensic reports from CFSL Gandhinagar, CFSL Hyderabad, CRFSL Delhi and NSG — (that's Central Forensic Science Laboratory and National Security Guards to you).
