Amy Winehouse found dead at London apartment Saturday

Troubled singer and five-time Grammy winner, Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London home, the BBC and Sky News reported.

The 27-year-old British singer had a long history of drug and alcohol abuse and was recently released from rehab. She found by emergency services on Saturday afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police released the following statement:"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased," the Daily Mail reported.

This summer, Winehouse canceled a planned European tour after an incoherent performance in June in Belgrade.
