Serbia: Hand grenade kills 3 at nightclub
Three people were killed and eight injured when a hand grenade was thrown at a Serbian nightclub in the early hours of Sunday.
A man threw the hand grenade after he and three friends were refused entry to the nightclub in Idvor, about 60km (37 miles) north of Belgrade, according to BBC News. The man and at least one of his friends were killed in the explosion.
The blast occurred at 2:30 a.m. Sunday local time (8:30 p.m. EDT Saturday), reported the Associated Press. About 150 people were inside the club at the time.

According to BBC, those injured have been taken to the hospital. Police have launched an investigation, which is currently in its early stages.
Firearms incidents are not uncommon in Serbia, reported the AP. Since the Balkan wars in the 1990s, many hand grenades and other firearms were taken home from warfronts, and are now widely distributed.
But the high number of dead and injured in Sunday's explosion was unusual, said BBC.
