The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, will be back in the public spotlight tonight with an appearance at a BBC sports award ceremony, according to British royal palace officials cited by the Associated Press

"Her Royal Highness will present the Lifetime Achievement and the main Sports Personality of the Year Awards," a Palace representative told E! News today. "The Duchess will attend the event [tonight] in response to a long-standing invitation from the BBC."

It will be her first appearance since being hospitalized for morning sickness, said AP

She had to cancel plans to go to the premiere of The Hobbit on Wednesday due to illness, according to E!
