A former Navy sailor who allegedly date raped a woman he met on ChristianMingle.com may have used the dating site to prey on other women, California police said Monday.
Sean Patrick Banks, 37, used a fake name to contact a woman who he allegedly sexually assaulted in November, and investigators believe that he used additional aliases to contact other women, ABC News reported.
They have appealed for women across the country who encountered Banks to come forward, believing Banks travelled frequently.
"We're looking to see if there are any other victims," Nicholass told ABCNews.com.
"We're trying to locate other victims who recognize him by his face, because they may not know his real name is Sean."
On the site, Banks used the aliases "Rylan Butterwood" and "Rylan Harbough."
He was charged with two counts of sexual assault and burglary for the attack at the woman's home in Mesa, the New York Daily News reported.
Banks has posted a $500,000 bail and pleaded not guilty.
