More than 20 indigenous tribes live in India’s long-isolated northeastern state. But with a bevy of dams planned, that may not be true much longer.

The Mishmi of Arunachal Pradesh are an ethnic group comprising mainly three tribes: Idu Mishmi, Digaro Mishmi and Miju Mishmi. The Mishmis occupy the northeastern tip of Arunachal Pradesh and also live in parts of Tibet.
