Paghman: Bus bombing kills at least 8 civilians

An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on a roadside in Paghman, Afghanistan, killing at least 8 people in a crowded minibus, according to the New York Times.
Five people were injured and taken to Kabul for medical treatment.
The man allegedly responsible was a suspected insurgent who had been arrested and released by Afghan authorities two years ago.
The New York Times said Afghanistan Colonel Amrullah had identified the suspected bomber as man in his early twenties called Hujratullah.
The Daily Beast reports that moments before the bombing, Hujratullah was conspicuously standing near the bomb site before he remotely triggered the explosion sometime around 5:30 am local time.
Mr. Hujratullah was arrested with a remote control and explosives.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai denounced the bombing, saying terrorists targeting civilians during Ramadan will “achieve nothing but public abhorrence.” Voice of America reported nine civilians killed.
The New York Times said that a spokesman for the Taliban, Zabiullah Mujahid, was "still gathering information on the bombing." So far, no organization has claimed responsibility.
