Olympic torch makes its way through United Kingdom (PHOTOS)

On the 56th day of its 70-day journey, the Olympic torch went to Chesil Beach and Durdle Door, according to the BBC. Making its way from Athens, Greece, the torch was set to make an 8,000 mile journey with 8,000 torchbearers holding it along the way.

On July 12, former basketball star Michael Johnson took the flame to Stonehenge at dawn, the BBC said. It has passed through the hands of celebrities and common folk, young and old, and will make it to London when the Olympic games start on July 27.
