Obama and Romney to appear on ’60 Minutes’

CBS News announced President Barack Obama and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will conduct separate interviews to be broadcast on "60 Minutes."

Both the President and his Republican challenger will answer "similar questions" on key voter issues such the economy, the budget, national security and healthcare.

Obama will speak with Steve Kroft, while Romney will talk to Scott Pelley.

USA TODAY reported the two presidential candidates are virtually tied in Gallup's latest daily tracking poll, with Obama leading by only 1-point.

The interviews are set to air this Sunday September 23.
