Nepal bus crash kills 30
A bus in Nepal plunged off a mountain Saturday, killing 30 and injuring 13 others.
The crash happened near the village of Chhatiwan in the western district of Doti, about 375 miles from Kathmandu, reported CNN. The bus hit a pole on the side of the road and fell nearly 700 feet.

Police spokesman Ramesh Bahadur Dhanuk said the injured were being treated at nearby hospitals. The driver was among them.
According to BBC News, local residents helped police pull the dead and injured from the scene of the accident. At the time of the crash, the area was dark and covered in fog.
Accidents on Nepal's highways are common due to badly maintained vehicles, poor roads, reckless driving and overcrowding, noted Voice of America.
Last month, 15 people died in an accident in the Surkhet district, about 250 miles west of Kathmandu.
