Michael Jordan banned from golf course over cargo shorts

He may be the greatest basketball player ever, but not even Michael Jordan can get away with "inappropriate" attire at a Miami golf course.
The six-time NBA champion showed up at the swanky La Gorce Country Club on Wednesday wearing cargo shorts, which is against the club's dress code, the Los Angeles Times reported.

No one said anything though until more than halfway through Jordan's round.
He later told ESPN Chicago that someone from the club approached him on the 12th hole and told him he couldn't wear cargo shorts, suggesting Bermuda shorts instead.

Jordan refused, saying the club has allowed him to wear cargo shorts before, and continued his round.
"The round is almost over and you want me to buy shorts now? Yeah, right," Jordan told ESPN.
According to the New York Post, staff members said he won't be allowed back at the club.
A rep for the five-time MVP seemed nonplussed: "I guess it’s their loss — as MJ is a great golfer, and a great guest.”
The club did not respond to requests for comment.
