A man shot at an anti-government protest in Bahrain Friday died today, according to Reuters.
Ahmed Ismail, 22, was taking photos of a demonstration when he was shot, the news service said.
Agence France-Presse said Ismail had been shot in the stomach by men wearing civilian clothing and shooting at protestors from a car.
The incident happened in Salmabad, an industrial area on the edge of Manama, Bahrain's capital.
Bahraini officials said government forces were not responsible for the shooting.
Violence between Bahraini police in the Sunni-ruled Gulf kington and protestors in Shiite villages has been escalating with dozens having been killed in such clashes over the past year.
