Protesters in Tripoli, Lebanon have turned their anger towards all things American today, torching KFC, Hardee’s and Krispy Kreme outlets.

The fires come as Pope Benedict XVI tours Lebanon and demonstrations across the Middle East rage in reaction to “The Innocence of Muslims” film.

Angry residents threw rocks and other objects at the American restaurant chains soon before flames engulfed the buildings.

The protesters screamed, “Muslims raise your hands, we don’t want the Pope,” The Telegraph reported.

Friday is the Muslim day of prayer, and thousands marched in a dozen countries in reaction to “The Innocence of Muslims,” an amateurish short film that denigrates the Prophet Muhammad.

Demonstrators marched on cities across the Middle East after Friday's prayers.

The film is given as a reason why protesters stormed the Libyan consulate on Tuesday and killed American ambassador Chris Stevens and three of his staff members.
