‘Joe the Plumber’ says gun control led to the Holocaust (VIDEO)

Ohio Congressional candidate Samuel Wurzelbacher, also known as, "Joe The Plumber" is defending a controversial campaign video that suggests gun control led to the Holocaust, according to CBS News.
The Ohio Republican's video argues "In 1911, Turkey established gun control… From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated. In 1939, Germany established gun control. From 1939 to 1945, six million Jews and seven million others, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated."
“I’m just stating the fact that history is very important — people need to understand what happened,” Wurzelbacher told POLITICO. He said he had no sympathy for those who were offended by the video.
CBS News reported National Jewish Democratic Council President and CEO David A. Harris replied "to imply that these innocent lives were taken because of gun control laws is simply beyond the pale" and demanded he apologize.

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, the Ohio man who became known as ‘Joe the Plumber’ after he asked then-candidate Barack Obama about small business taxes during the 2008 presidential race, won the GOP nomination in Ohio's new 9th Congressional District, the Wall Street Journal reported.
He is running against Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur for a seat in Congress.
