Jeb Bush: ‘I’d consider’ the vice presidency if asked

In an interview with the conservative website Newsmax, Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said he would consider running for vice president alongside Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, USA Today reported.
"Well, I'd consider it, but I doubt I'll get a call, and I don't know if it's the right thing for me to do," he told Newsmax, USA Today reported. "I didn't run for president for a similar kind of reason, so I'm all in to try to help him get elected."
Also, he said, he thinks there is a better VP candidate: Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. "I am a great admirer of Mitt Romney's, and I'm a huge fan of Marco Rubio's, and I think the combination would be extraordinary,” Bush told Newsmax, according to USA Today.
Bush, the son of US president No. 41 and brother to No. 42, endorsed Romney in March because he believes he can beat President Barack Obama in this year’s election, but he has concerns about Romney’s hard line on immigration, Bush associates have said, according to Fox News.

Bush, whose wife is from Mexico and is popular among conservative Latinos, has called for more welcoming immigration policies, according to Fox News.
Rubio, a freshman senator, has said he does not want to leave the Senate, Fox News reported. But no worries – in his interview with Newsmax, Bush ticked off a list of other Republicans he thinks have VP potential, USA Today reported: Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.
