Fox News' Sally Kohn slammed vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan's speech at the GOP convention as "deceiving" and "distracting."

In a column Thursday, Kohn took a particilarly critical tone in analyzing Ryan's speech from Wednesday night, going so far to call it "an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech."

She summed up the speech in three words: dazzling, deceiving and distracting.

"Ryan may have helped solve some of the likeability problems facing Romney, but ultimately by trying to deceive voters about basic facts and trying to distract voters from his own record, Ryan’s speech caused a much larger problem for himself and his running mate," Kohn wrote.

Fox News anchors on the air praised Ryan's speech afterward, but other media and fact checking organizations weren't so kind.

Factcheck.org took issue with Ryan's claims that President Obama had cut Medicare, while CNN criticized the VP candidate for blaming a GM auto plant shutdown on Obama, when in fact it closed during the Bush administration.
