Jennifer LIvingston, the TV anchor who responded on-air to viewer Kenneth Krause' attack on her weight, wants people to "leave him alone".
Krause has been attacked for his disparaging remarks which were contained in an email to Livingston that went viral. In it, he questioned her as a role model for young girls because of her weight.
Livingston, a mother-of-three, says she does not hold a grudge towards Krause.
"I hope people kinda leave him behind and leave him alone," she told TMZ.
Livingston, who works at CBS WKBT in Wisconsin, arrived in L.A. on the weekend to appear on the "Ellen" show.
She has become an overnight sensation after her four-minute on-air editorial directed to Kraus and victims of bullying generally.
In the editorial, she admitted she was overweight but said: "You don't know me. You are not a friend of mine. You are not a part of my family … I am much more than a number on the scale."
“To the person who wrote me that letter, do you think I don’t know that?” she said of Krause’s labeling her as overweight.
ABC News said that Krause now says he “never meant to hurt” her and would possibly revise how he handled the situation.
“I’m in no position to bully her,” Kenneth Krause, the man who made the comments told ABC News. “She’s a big media personality. I’m just a working stiff.”
Krause’s email to Livingston went viral after her husband posted it to his Facebook page.
