Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status Saturday to "married," a day after the historic Facebook IPO.
Zuckerberg, 28, and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small, private ceremony at his Palo Alto, California home, the Associated Press reported.
On their respective Facebook pages, each carried a photo of the couple smiling, in wedding attire. (See Zuckerberg's page here, and Chan's here.)
The 100 guests reportedly thought they would be attending a party to celebrate Chan's graduation from medical school.
On Friday, Zuckerberg marked the debut of his company's stock at Facebook's Silicon Valley campus, symbolically ringing the opening bell for stock trading.

However, according to Reuters the IPO did not go as well as the social networking company had hoped, with shares closing just above the offering price of $38 a share.
Zuckerberg's shares are worth nearly $20 billion and he retains voting control of Facebook, Reuters wrote.
On Saturday, Zuckerberg reportedly gave Chan a ring he designed himself, with a "very simple ruby," the guest told the AP.
In a big week for the Zuckerbergs, on Monday "Zuck" celebrated his birthday and Chan graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, where she'd studied pediatrics.
Then on Friday, Time's 2010 Person of the Year led Facebook — born in a Harvard University dorm room — to one of the most anticipated stock offerings in Wall Street history.
