Drug traffickers threaten indigenous tribes in Paraguay
Paraguayan officials say at least four people have been killed by drug traffickers in a border region since August.
Juan Ramirez, governor of Amambay province, said the men were murdered because they witnessed drug-smuggling operations, reports the BBC.
Members of the Pai Tavytera tribe have asked for protection.
The border area is used for smuggling cocaine and marijuana from Colombia and Bolivia to Brazil.
