Dick Cheney calls Obama administration drone strike policy ‘a good program’ (VIDEO)

Dick Cheney said that the Obama administration's drone strike policy is "a good program," in an interview Tuesday on CBS This Morning

“I think it’s a good program and I don’t disagree with the basic policy that the Obama administration is pursuing now in that regards,” the former vice president said. 

Despite harsh criticism of Obama's foreign policy, calling it "terribly flawed" and denouncing his second-term team as "dismal," Cheney said he was not in favor of adding checks and balances to the US policy of targeting terrorists and their affiliates with unmanned drones, according to the Washington Post

“I think when we hire the president of the United States he gets to live in a big house, makes all that money — he’s getting paid to make difficult, difficult decisions,” Cheney said, Politico reported

Obama has come under fire recently after a leaked secret Justice Department memo revealed that the drone strikes may be used against US citizens suspected of being involved in terrorism, according to Politico
