Delhi Charter School to stop forced pregnancy tests on female students in Louisiana
The Louisiana Delhi Charter School has reversed its controversial policy requiring female students to take pregnancy tests and kicked out girls who were pregnant.
The Associated Press reported the school required students even suspected of being pregnant take the test.
The American Civil Liberties Union said the policy violated Title IX of the 1972 federal education law, which requires equal opportunity for girls.

Earlier in the week, the ACLU denounced the policy as a "blatant violation" of the US Constitution.
The school's chairman Albert Christman claimed no one realized there was a problem with the policy until the ACLU protest.
