Bobbi Kristina to get Whitney’s 20m fortune

Whitney Houston's mother Cissy has given up her fight to keep granddaughter Bobbi Kristina from accessing the $20 million inheritance originally left to her, reports TMZ.

Cissy and Whitney's sister-in-law Pat Houston, both are co-executors of Whitney's estate, had filed legal papers to change Whitney's will to keep Bobbi Kristina from accessing the huge fortune, saying it would be "too much, too soon" for the teenager, reports Digital Spy.

Cissy reportedly feared that the millions could potentially cut Bobbi Kristina's life short, much like Whitney's was.

According to TMZ, the case was dismissed after Bobbi and Cissy reached an agreement and the will will be executed as Whitney originally intended.

Bobbi Kristina will receive 10 percent of about $20 million when she turns 21. She gets just under 25 percent, which will amount to about $4 million, when she turns 25. The remainder of the money will be paid out in full to her at age 30.

Earlier this month, the 19-year-old announced her engagement to her adopted brother Nick Gordon.

In an E! clip for their new reality show, "The Houstons: On Our Own," Bobbi is seen making the big announcement to her family. "We're engaged!" she says, giggling nervously.

The show premiered on October 24.
