The suspected gunman behind the shooting rampage in a Colorado movie theater earlier this month has been charged with 12 counts of first-degree murder and 12 counts of murder with "extreme indifference," Reuters reported.
The Associated Press also reported that formal charges were made against James Holmes this morning on 24 counts of murder. Holmes was also charged with 116 counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of explosions, accoring to the AP
