Up to 15 injured in Kenya grenade attacks

Explosions injured more than a dozen people along Kenya's coast today. 

Five people were injured in a grenade attack at a restaurant in Mombasa, Reuters said.

"One hand grenade was thrown into a pub and restaurant opposite the stadium. The place was full of people," Reuters quoted a police officer as saying.

Another explosion in neighboring Mtwapa injured several others, the news agency said.

Up to six people may have been killed in the explosions, Al Jazeera reported.

It is not yet clear whether grenades were used in that attack as well. 

Kenya has been the subject of grenade attacks since sending troops to assist with Somalian efforts to battle the al Shabaab rebel group, which has since declared war on Kenya.

Al Jazeera said no one has yet claimed responsibility for the latest attacks.
