Seattle bar The 5 Point preemptively bans Google Glass over privacy concerns

You don't want to sleep with me? Fine, I'll just go home with these nice pictures I secretly took of you. This and similarly horrifying potential pick-up lines could come to a bar near you thanks to Google Glass. 

Google Glass isn't even for sale yet, but a bar in Seattle is preemptively cracking down on it and has declared itself a No Google Glass zone. "If you’re one of the few who are planning on going out and spending your savings on Google Glasses – what will for sure be a new fad for the fanny-pack wearing never removing your bluetooth headset wearing crowd – plan on removing them before you enter The 5 Point,"  The 5 Point bar orders on its website.

Owner Dave Meinert told MyNorthwest.com that it's a matter of privacy. "You have to understand the culture of The 5 Point which is a sometimes seedy, maybe notorious place and I think people want to go there and be not known," he said. 

"Part of this is a joke, to be funny on Facebook and get a reaction, but part of it is serious because we don't let people film other people or take photos unwanted of other people in the bar because it's kind of a private place people go."

As Techradar explains, the core of Google Glass is a tiny prism display that sits above the eye line. The glasses come with an embedded camera, microphone and GPS.
