Official AP Twitter account hacked, tweets about White House explosions (VIDEO)

The Associated Press sent out this alarming tweet after its account was hacked on Tuesday:

The false alarm was retweeted over 3,000 times and sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeting. The AP Twitter account has now been suspended — see AP's own story on it here

The White House was quick to respond to the alert from the respected news organization, with a spokesperson assuring the public that President Barack Obama is in fact doing "fine." Watch it here:
