Mexico: Gunmen kill 7 in Cancun bar shooting

GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Two gunmen burst into a bar in the popular Mexican resort city of Cancun, killing seven people and injured several others, the Associated Press and Reuters reported.

Most of the victims were members of the taxi drivers union, the AP said.

Police said they were investigating links between the union and organized crime after the attackers who entered "The Little Mermaid" bar specifically targeted union members meeting there on Thursday, El Universal reported.

Reuters said the men were armed with a machine gun and a handgun.
