Jose Canseco under investigation for rape; tweets about accuser

Former baseball star Jose Canseco tweeted this afternoon that he was under investigation for rape.

Canseco then allegedly went on to tweet his apparent accuser's name, phone number and even a photo of her in a bikini.

The Atlantic pointed out that bizarre tweets are nothing new for the admitted steroid user.

His first tweet read: "Breaking news this is a first folks las vegas police was just it my house i have been charged with rape by [accuser's name] from las vegas."

Canseco then goes on to tweet the phone number of the woman and a picture of her in a bikini and then challenges her to a polygraph.

It was initially unclear if Canseco's Twitter account had been hacked but the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Wednesday that they were investigating allegations of the assault. 

Canseco has not yet been arrested nor charged with a crime.

The Washington Post said that neither he nor his spokesperson were available for comment.
