The Ikea monkey saga that has gripped primates of every kind continued in a Toronto court this week.
The sanctuary where Darwin the monkey is being held has dropped allegations that his former owner Yasmin Nakhuda abused him.
Nakhuda, who claims that the monkey is her "son," bought Darwin for $5000 from an exotic pet dealer in July.
She claims she took the monkey everywhere with her, including the gym, the grocery store, a wedding and even into the shower.
Nakhuda has set-up a Facebook page with pictures and scathing words for those who would take her monkey away.

Darwin escaped his owner's/mother's car last December and entertained bemused Ikea shoppers in a Toronto suburb with his faux-shearling coat until he was picked up by authorities.
Now Nakhuda, a real-estate lawyer, is fighting in court to get Darwin back.
The trial will be held Thursday and Friday and will continue in mid-June.
The judge presiding over the trial said that it was not a custody battle but rather a demand for the return of personal property.
Nakhuda has failed twice at getting the monkey back before trial.
