Hear Ye, Hear Ye: White House launches ‘Being Biden’ Podcast

GlobalPost

Forget 'Life of Pi;' the White House wants you to tune into Life of Bi. Den. Biden. As in, the Vice President. Yep.

It's a daring project for the United State's gaffe-prone VP, but the White House seems ready for the challenge. In the new podcast, Biden will walk listeners through his life in photos, according to their new Being Biden page

The first episode is already out — “Vol. 1: The Sportsman’s Ethic" — a gripping tale of Biden serving bread rolls, according to TIME. OK, so it "isn't that great," admitted the Atlantic, nonetheless encouraging readers to Crack Open a Cold One and Let Joe Biden Tell You a Story — maybe partially because the whole thing is so darn weird.

The Obama administration, predictably, has a slightly different take. "From meetings at the White House to travels around the country, the Vice President will share his perspective in candid, behind-the-scenes snapshots," the Being Biden webpage breathlessly explains, according to Mashable. "In other words, he’ll explain what it’s like 'Being Biden.'"

Actually, "[w]hat you get is a flat-but-not-uninteresting story about a flat-but-not-uninteresting photo," complained the Atlantic. So maybe being Biden is kind of like being anyone else? Well, that would be a relief to hear given the representative nature of his position.
