French reality TV show contestant dies

A contestant in the French version of the reality television show Survivor has died during filming,  Euronews reported. Gérald Babin was participating in a challenge on the first day of the shoot when he suffered a series of heart attacks. He was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital. He was 25.

Filming was immediately suspended. In a statement, the producers said that they were "devastated,"  Sapa reported.

Le Point news magazine reported that Babin had suffered severe cramps during the challenge before he suffered the attacks. 

This tragedy comes a month after  three crew members shooting a reality TV show died in a California helicopter crash.
