Four suspects have been arrested in the murder of Dustin Friedland (pictured) in a New Jersey mall parking lot.
Four men have been arrested in connection with a carjacking at a New Jersey mall that saw a young attorney killed.
Hanif Thompson, Karif Ford, Basim Henry, and Kevin Roberts were arrested between Friday night and early Saturday morning and have been charged with murder.
They also face carjacking and weapons charges.
The men are between the ages of 29 and 33.
The arrests were made in New Jersey and in Pennsylvania, with help from the FBI and US Marshals Service.
Police said public assistance played a key role in the case.
"Many of the leads we received in this case came from our four most urban towns," said Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray.
"It really was old-fashioned police work combined with technology."
Dustin Friedland, 30, was killed while walking with his wife to their 2012 silver Range Rover at The Mall last weekend.
Friedland was confronted by two attackers and a struggle ensued, in which Friedland was shot and killed.
The two attackers fled in the SUV. It was found damaged behind an abandoned building in Newark on Monday.
