After the United States accused China of being a major cyber threat, China has essentially responded with, "I know you are, but what am I?"
In February, a report by the United States' National Intelligence Estimate claimed that China is the main source of cyber-espionage in the United States. The report was just one of many from the US claiming that Chinese hackers pose major threats to United States security and business.
China has now fired back with its own report, which claims that the United States is actually China's main source of hacking, China's state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

According to Xinhua, a total of 85 websites of public institutions and companies were hacked between September 2012 and February 2013. Of those attacks, 39 appear to have originated in the United States, the report says.
This report is just the latest diplomatic fight between Beijing and Washington over cyber attacks, Reuters reported. China has continued to deny the many hacking allegations against the country made by United States institutions.
This report from Xinhua in fact comes just a day after China's foreign minister held a press conference to reject accusations that the country's military is behind hacking attacks on the US.
"Anyone who tries to fabricate or piece together a sensational story to serve their political motive will not be able to blacken the name of others or whitewash themselves," Yang Jiechi told reporters, the Associated Press reported.
