Delaying pregnancy in the US and around the world

In a new report, the CDC has confirmed that the average age at which American women deliver their first babies has increased in the last 40 years. So what are the implications of delaying pregnancy in the US and around the world?

This week The World is partnering with The Forum at the Harvard School of Public Health to discuss the societal and technological factors driving delayed pregnancy, including fertility treatments; delve into the health risks to older mothers and their babies; and explore both the risks and the benefits to older parenthood.

The conversation began on The World's Ninth Month Facebook community and will continue Wednesday, May 21, during a panel at The Forum. Come back to watch the live broadcast of the panel, Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. ET.
