Art Nabbed a Parking Spot in Ireland’s Busiest City

You’ve heard about Parking Day, right? Well, the idea is to reclaim open space one parking spot at a time to demonstrate that cities are for people, not just for trucks and cars.

The idea for taking over metered parking spaces came from a group of San Francisco artists about a decade ago. It’s caught on in hundreds of cities around the world as residents reclaim open space in their crowded cities one parking spot at a time.

So its Parking Day in the city we want you to name:

It was once a Viking village. It’s now one of Ireland’s busiest and most populated cities. The River Liffey divides this city into the Northside and the Southside.
