Parking Day in Dublin: Bláth Cliath on Camden Street

You’ve heard about Parking Day, right? Well, the idea is to reclaim open space one parking spot at a time to demonstrate that cities are for people, not just for trucks and cars.

The idea for taking over metered parking spaces came from a group of San Francisco artists about a decade ago. It’s caught on in hundreds of cities around the world as residents reclaim open space in their crowded cities one parking spot at a time.

So its Parking Day in the city we want you to name:

It was once a Viking village. It’s now one of Ireland’s busiest and most populated cities. The River Liffey divides this city into the Northside and the Southside.

For the answer, we’re going to talk with David O’Connor who’s a parking day coordinator in Dublin. And that’s the answer to our Geo Quiz.
