There was the good: a revolution in civil rights, killer rock ‘n’ roll; and the bad: a divisive war, heart-wrenching assassinations, and a political and cultural rift that still lingers today. Tom Brokaw wore his reporter hat throughout the period, and covered many of its biggest stories for NBC, where he later, of course, anchored Nightly News.
