A newly passed law in Connecticut requires businesses with 50 or more employees to give their workers one hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Dave Rutigliano, chef and owner of The Southport Brewing Company, says the law could cause layoffs and hurt small businesses. Jon Green, executive director for Connecticut Working Families, argues that the laws are needed to allow people to get well.
