Obama’s foreign policy: What should he talk about?

The Takeaway

In Obama’s foreign policy speech this Thursday, many expect the President to address the Arab Spring and the democratic uprisings that have risen up across the Middle East. Many want him to address specific countries, including Bahrain, Yemen and Syria. Nancy Yousef, Professor of English Literature at CUNY Baruch in New York, and Naima Nour, founder and director of the Tunisian Cultural & Information Center USA, talk about the implications of the speech.

“The Takeaway” is a national morning news program, delivering the news and analysis you need to catch up, start your day, and prepare for what’s ahead. The show is a co-production of WNYC and PRI, in editorial collaboration with the BBC, The New York Times Radio, and WGBH.
