Author Kevin Barry is the latest writer to share his suggestions for your summer reading. His own book of short stories, "Dark Lies the Island" comes out this September.
His choices, three fairly heavy books may be dark he says, but when better to read a dark, heavy novel then in the summer.
"Do you want to read this stuff in a dark, winter's night with a gale rattling the shutters on your windows or is good to have some summer light around you?" says Barry.
We'll let you decide. Below are Barry's choices.
